Creating a social media masterplan for a web development agency

What do you do when your business feels invisible online, and you don’t have the in-house resources to change that?

BlackCat Content partnered with a web development agency to manage their full-stack social media presence across Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

The goal was to build a cohesive multi-platform content system, one that strengthened brand authority and increased visibility, while ensuring each platform served a clear, strategic purpose.

No in-house social media expertise.

Lots of raw video content, but no idea how to use it.

No processes or flows to organise content.

Multiple platforms to strategise for.

The business hurdles

Working with this team has been an absolute pleasure. Their creativity, attention to detail, and communication made the entire process seamless,  and the results exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome! "

The project

The challenge

The web development agency lacked digital visibility. While they were great at supporting their clients' needs, they had no resources to build or manage their social media activity. With a preference for video content, they needed some strategic direction for their raw content.

Our approach

The biggest shift was moving away from “posting content” and toward building a system.

1. Treating each platform differently: Each platform, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, was approached with its own strategy, based on how audiences actually engage on each one. Content was adapted by format, tone, and pacing, so it felt intentional rather than recycled.

2. Using video as the foundation: Video sat at the core of the strategy. Long-form content was repurposed into short-form videos tailored to each platform, using strong hooks and clean edits, while also improving recording quality to raise the overall standard of the content.

3. Building smart, repeatable processes: Clear processes were put in place for planning, production, and publishing, making the system easier to maintain and scale without adding internal workload.

The real impact

During the 3-month project, every channel delivered positive results. TikTok alone generated 4.5k views, while Instagram reached 21.4k organic views, demonstrating the impact of a cohesive, platform-specific strategy.
